So, I'm sitting in the house Sat. morning minding my own business when I hear... WHOOSSSSHHH outside followed by total power outage.... Since this is the 3rd time I'm pretty darn sure what it is... It's pouring and the wind is blowing... Walk outside... sure 'nuff... The huge tree out front just lost it's biggest section. Same thing happened once earlier this year and once last year... Those times it was big branches from the same tree... This time it was the biggest main section. We'd been getting some estimates to get it down, but it just wasn't in the budget right now... Guess we won't have to worry bout that now! So anyway, I call Peco... Around 11am-ish... 1pm, guy comes out looks and says, "I'm gonna have to call a bucket truck for this one. They'll be out in a couple of hours."... OK... 8pm-ish... Dark... Pouring.. Bucket truck gets here... 2 guys start looking around... "Hmmm... I dunno if we can do this in the rain and dark.".... WHAT?!?!! I called like 9 hrs ago when it was daylight... Cheryl pleaded.."We're going to lose all our food." They look in the door, see cute little Ryan... "oh you have kids too huh... We'll see what we can do"... Anyway... They get it... cool... slip 'em a $50 and say goodbye.
Sunday... today... We all go out, cut it up, drag tops to the woods and cut the rest up for firewood and leave it at the curb... someone will take it... couple of hours later... guy out front loading his truck... cool... he took about half..... Sweeeeet!

You better pull whatever stump is left on that thing - before it jumps out at the telephone pole and breaks it in half the next time it rains.
