This morning we got up and headed out to the Southampton Days 4th of July parade. Last year when we went we were a little unprepared. This year we had chairs, drinks and snacks. Also, instead of sitting in the sun... I found us a nice shady spot along the roadside instead of on the curb in front of a big open parking lot like last year. The parade is nice. Just a bunch of local businesses, bands, girl and boy scout troops, sport teams and every fire company for miles. If anything within 20 miles of this area ever catches on fire on July 4th between 9am and noon it doesn't stand a chance. It's going to burn to the ground. One cool tradition that happens is that the parading boy scout troops carry water guns and spray spectators as they go by. Now, people have started to retaliate and there was a big bunch of kids next to us that all had guns. BIG GUNS.... Every time a troop of scouts came by it was like WWIII with water. It was hilarious. The kids were running around us using us as cover from the scouts. There was a couple with a kid on the other side of us and they were getting upset about getting wet. It's like 90 degrees and its water... c'mon.
Tonight we're gonna go back to check out the fair and some fireworks.

just 2 dudes waitin' on a parade
