I'm not sure why or how I got on to this, but I think it's cool. In Sept, 2001 Cheryl and I went to Cancun, Mexico for our honeymoon. It was nice and we had a good time, but I don't want to get into all that. When we decided that was where we were going, I was very excited to see the famous Maya city, Chichén Itzá. On the day that we went it was really hot. Cheryl wasn't feeling too well (mostly from the walking and the heat), but I dragged her around to all the buildings (thanx hun). The big pyramid or "the Castle" was amazing. The steps on that thing are super steep. It was hard going up and even harder to come down. Cheryl was terrified the whole time. When we finally made it to the top, she stood with her back against a wall and wouldn't move. I was all over the place though. You can see the whole city from up there. Later I climbed up on the inside of the pyramid. Cheryl stayed on the ground this time! The inside stairs are narrow, steep and wet because it is very humid in there. It's so narrow that in most places you can't pass someone coming the other way. We were there most of a day and honestly I could have spent many days there. Here is a link to a really good site about Chichén Itzá with some really great photos... take the time to look it over. It's not the same as being there, but it is really cool. http://www.internet-at-work.com/hos_mcgrane/chichen/chichen_index.html
The Platform of Skulls was one of my fav things (of course)
