Visit from a friend

My friend Richie came up from DE today. We both worked for DE DOT before I moved up to PA. It was kind of a laid back day. Cheryl had to work, so Chris and Ryan were with us for the day. I took them to the PA DOT yard where I work to show Rich the difference between here and there and to show Ryan my "BIG TRUCK". Then we rode down along the DE River where The Delaware Canal runs. It was constructed in 1832, linking Bristol to Easton and the Lehigh Canal. Mules pulled barges carrying supplies up and down it's 60 mi. http://www.fodc.org/history/fodchtry.htm

We had lunch at Burger King.... Got lot's of Star Wars goodies (Yea!) and then came home and just hung out. It was good to see Richie again. I've talked to him a few times since I left DE, but this was the first we've gotten together. I miss my DE friends. When I moved here I pretty much knew no one ('cept Cheryl). I've made some friends at work here, but it's still kinda different. The guys in DE went out alot or hung out together more. I was pretty close with a few of them.... our "drinking crew".
