Mono-Metallica

At work today I was driving a truck with no radio. I knew ahead of time, so I brought a little, ancient, hand held, mono, AM/FM radio that I just happen to find shoved way back in an unused desk drawer about a week ago. It has one of those metal, extendo antennas that I had to rest against the metal truck cab to get enuff reception to get in WMMR. During the afternoon music blocks they played a block of Metallica... Mono-Metallica... I felt like I was dragged back in time to when the only portable cassette player I had was one of those black, MONO, "looks like it should be on an office desk somewhere" tape recorders. I walked around with it... took it in my car... took it to the beach... taped some of the most hilarious conversations with my friends on it (ROLF and WALT/PROFESSIONAL WHISTLERS... "MY FREAKIN' HUBCAP!!!".. INTERVIEW W/ BON JOVI and CASEY KASEM... "DARK D*#$ DALBET"... GREAT ADVENTURE FLAT TIRE)...... and listened to...... yup.... MONO-METALLICA.
